ORPHAN ANNIE STORE
The Little Orphan Annie watch was sold in Chicago at the store bearing her name. The store was located on the 23rd Street Bridge, near the 1933 Century of Progress Exhibition. The bag praises the watch’s accuracy. Annie says: “Tell the world this is some swell watch. I haven’t been late for school since I got it.” Handwritten in pencil in the top left-hand corner are the words “Tuesday September 5”.
